My name is Ian Hammond and I run this micro business which allows me to provide a very personal service, and as you can see my work is very much involved in high quality build no matter what the size of commissions received from my customers, but this doesn’t mean it is an expensive service as most projects are very environmentally friendly as the material are either recycled or new sourced from ethical bases.
With a background of having trained for a local specialist interior furnishers as an apprentice in the early 80’s, I have come across a very wide variety of furniture designs and construction methods. but as this is a very old trade and every changing, it is very enlightening to see new techniques which improve the quality and also reassuring that some of the older ways still take some beating.
I always feel able to communicate with the customers and have a good understanding of their exact requirements and the achievements in supplying the specified results, yet be flexible in meeting these in an efficient manner. Even talking to those who may only need advise as to acquiring a remedy to a small problem or creating a statement with a unique piece of soft furnishings, whether it be ‘squaring’ a customer’s own petit-point tapestry or complete major rebuild of chesterfield from bare frame.
